READY TO OPTIMISE YOUR CONTENT FOR AI SEARCH?

Expert GEO Content Strategy and Audit

With over 19 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing, I help companies prepare for the next era of search — Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

My GEO Content Strategy and Audit service evaluates how your website is interpreted, cited, and retrieved by AI systems such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Perplexity. The audit identifies which pages are visible to large language models, how your content is chunked and retrieved by AI systems, and where your content is missing from being surfaced in AI-generated answers.

You’ll receive a strategic roadmap showing how to improve your brand mentions and content citations in AI-driven search.

GEO CONTENT STRATEGY & AUDIT SERVICES

AI Visibility & Citation Analysis

I assess how your website and brand citations appear within generative search systems: ChatGPT, Google Gemini (and AI Overviews plus AI Mode), Perplexity and others. By analysing brand mentions and citation frequency, I identify where your content is surfaced, misrepresented or ignored. This reveals how AI currently perceives your current content, digital authority and identifies where your can improve.

Data-Based Prompt Research

One of the big problems in auditing content and building GEO strategy is the gap of knowledge about real-life prompts. For this, I export and analyze real data from Google Search Console using API. Exporting 25,000 keywords and filtering them by leaving the ones that have 10+ words gives a precise understanding of what people actually ask in AI systems about your brand.

Semantic Similarity Modelling

Using advanced semantic similarity modelling, I measure how comprehensively your content covers each topic (prompt) cluster. By identifying missing subtopics, narrow sections and weak lexical structures in them, I help you strengthen the content for semantic similarity to the incoming prompt that ensures higher AI retrieval chances.

Query Fan-Out Modelling

I evaluate how your content performs across the branching patterns of multi-turn or reformulated prompts within AI systems. By simulating how a single intent expands into multiple semantically related sub-queries, I identify where your content ranks, disappears or gets replaced by competitors during prompt reformulation. This uncovers coverage gaps and helps you optimise topic depth and semantic density to improve visibility across the entire fan-out tree of queries.

Prompt-Based Competitive Testing

I evaluate how your competitors appear in generative search compared to your brand. By testing real prompts across ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and other AI systems, I uncover why and with what perception certain brands are consistently cited while others remain invisible. This analysis reveals which competitors dominate specific prompt clusters, how often their pages are retrieved and what topical patterns make their content more AI-visible.

GEO Content Strategy Development

Based on insights from all the above audits, I create a forward-looking GEO content strategy tailored to your brand’s audience, industry and current performance. It defines what to create, how to structure information for AI content retrieval, and how to build authority over time. The strategy ensures your content production mechanism remains competitive as AI-driven search continues to evolve.

Content only matters if AI systems can retrieve and use it.

AI search and answer engines do not rank pages. They select information based on semantic coverage, structure, and how clearly content answers real questions.

Most content is not built for this. Topics are mentioned but not developed. Concepts are scattered. Key answers exist but are not easy to extract. As a result, AI systems skip the content entirely.

A GEO content strategy audit evaluates how your content is interpreted by AI-driven retrieval systems. It checks topical depth, internal coherence, and whether your content is suitable for use in AI-generated responses.

The goal is not more content. It is content that AI systems can confidently retrieve and use.

You keep control of messaging. I provide the diagnosis that makes your content eligible for AI search inclusion.

GEO Content Audit Pricing

The audit for small websites normally starts with AUD 1,000 - 2,000 (excl. GST). Bigger websites multi-category or multilingual structures can cost between AUD 3,000 - 5,000 (excl. GST).

All these prices apply solely to my consulting and research work. All GEO software subscriptions (prompt tracking, technical GEO analysis, content gap analysis tools, analytics dashboards) are not included in the consulting price.

Why Hire an External GEO Expert Instead of an Internal Team?

GEO is a highly specialized process that requires a deep understanding of how AI systems — like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — interpret, summarize, and retrieve content. It extends beyond traditional SEO by focusing on semantic clarity, entity authority, and retrievability within AI-generated responses.

Most internal marketing or SEO teams, even experienced ones, lack the specific knowledge frameworks and testing environments needed to perform a full GEO content audit. Running inclusion tests, analysing AI prompt results and mapping entity visibility across large language models requires cross-platform data gathering and interpretation that’s still beyond standard SEO toolsets.

Hiring an external GEO expert gives you immediate access to advanced methods and insights without the learning curve or internal resource drain. You gain a clear understanding of how AI perceives your brand, where your content appears or fails to appear in generative outputs, and what structured improvements will most effectively enhance your visibility in this rapidly evolving landscape.

This GEO Content audit template structures the audit process to show what exactly is reviewed (this table is not full, there are some audit elements that I don't disclose publicly). Generative Engine Optimisation FAQ

What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?

GEO can be described as a process that involves the enhancement of your web content with the aim of making it visible and cited by AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews & AI Mode. In its content aspect, it mostly focuses on structuring content so that it can easily be retrieved, chunked and used for AI-generated answer synthesis.

Why does GEO matter now?

As people increasingly turn to AI search systems and assistants (agents), traditional web search traffic keeps stagnating or declining gradually. GEO ensures that your brand mentions and content citations are represented in AI-generated responses. This helps to keep both your brand and content visible, compensating the losses in traditional organic traffic.

How do you measure the success of GEO activities?

Every GEO activity is evaluated for success by monitoring how often your web content and brand mentions are retrieved, cited and used in AI-generated answer synthesis across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and Google AI Overviews. Examples of key indicators that are looked out for include visibility in AI search responses (share of voice in certain prompts), growth in organic traffic from AI search systems and conversions attributed to AI-driven discovery paths.

How long does it take to see results from GEO?

The honest answer will be "I don't know", as GEO sphere is quite new for all digital marketers. Technically, I have published content that got cited in AI search results in a week from the publication date. This doesn't mean that it will happen with all prompts, because everything depends on the competition.

GEO vs SEO content audit – what’s the difference?

While SEO focuses on improving rankings in traditional search engines, GEO optimises content for visibility in AI-generated results. A GEO content audit evaluates how well your content is understood and cited by AI systems, and in my opinion, it is incorrect to state that if one's doing traditional SEO optimisation, this guarantees success in AI search, as ranking principles are different.

Why is content audit important for GEO?

A GEO content audit identifies how AI systems interpret, summarise, and surface your content. Conducting a GEO audit ensures your content aligns with how AI engines process information, which is critical for being cited. However, AI search systems, in my opinion, also construct their answers based on external authority factors, therefore optimised content is required for visibility, but is not a guarantee of visibility. Optimisation of external authority factors, similar to E-E-A-T in traditional SEO, also has an impact on GEO rankings.

What tools do you use for generative engine optimisation audit?

A GEO audit uses specialised tools: Otterly AI, Qforia, Relevance Doctor, Google Search Console and general mathematical tools for the calculation of semantic similarity. You can find more information about GEO tools in my recent blog.

Where can I learn more about GEO content optimisation?

You can explore two in-depth guides that explain GEO from both strategic and practical perspectives. Start with the ChatGPT optimisation blog post to understand how AI retrievability, entity mapping and semantic structure improve your brand’s visibility. Then, read the Google AI Mode & AI Overviews optimisation guide, which shows how to apply these principles specifically to Google's AI platforms. Together, they offer a complete overview of how to make your content discoverable, understandable and cite-worthy.
