HELLO, MY NAME IS ANDREI IUNISOV

I am a PPC Consultant

As an international PPC advertising consultant with 18 years of experience, I have a data-driven approach to paid advertising in all search engines, social media and ad networks.

I get involved with every detail of PPC campaigns from keyword research, audience targeting and writing ads to bid management and continuous ongoing optimization so you achieve your maximum performance and ROAS.

My expertise includes search and display ads, Shopping & Demand Gen, remarketing, and other campaign types on Google and Microsoft Ads, as well as on social media and YouTube. Being experienced in running multilingual, international ad campaigns in English, German, Spanish and French, I help businesses expand into global markets.

PPC Consulting Services

PPC Strategy Development

A comprehensive planning process where I help businesses define a clear roadmap for their advertising campaigns. This service involves identifying the most effective platforms—such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or any other PPC platform—based on the business model, target audience, and campaign goals. It consists of thorough keyword research to identify high-intent search terms and designing campaigns to provide maximum efficiency, as well as of identifying the most promising audience targeting for social media. I recommend bidding strategies; for instance, when a business should use automated strategies such as Maximize Conversions or if it should use manual bidding to have more control. Moreover, I help you set realistic performance benchmarks, so your CPA, ROAS, and other core metrics support your business goals. The end result is a custom PPC playbook that businesses can leverage to launch, optimize, and scale their campaigns effectively.

PPC Audit

A deep-dive analysis that aims to identify inefficiencies, wasted ad spend, and missed opportunities in a pre-existing advertising account. As a consultant, I make sure to check all campaign structures, bid strategies, audience targeting, ad creatives, and other account elements. My goal is to find out whether they comply with PPC best practices and business objectives. I analyze keyword performance, identifying keywords that are simply not converting and should be paused and calling out high-converting keywords that require more budget. I also analyze negative keyword lists to ensure that ad dollars aren't being wasted on searches that aren't relevant, as well as campaign settings (geo-targeting, device bidding, audience segmentation) to confirm that ads are reaching the right people at the right time. You can read my PPC audit blog post to learn about my methodology.

PPC Competitive Analysis

Conducting a competitive PPC analysis is how businesses get the edge over contestants by discovering what they are doing (or not doing) in their paid advertising campaigns. I use the ad placements, keywords, and creatives of competitors in comprehensive analysis methodology to find the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. I can review which competitors are monopolizing ad space, their estimated spending, and the messaging they implement to capture customers, using tools such as Google Auction Insights, SEMrush, and SpyFu. Sometimes I can even reverse-engineer their conversion rates (as discussed in my competitor analysis blog post). This information allows businesses to tailor their strategy, enabling them to outbid, outposition, or significantly differentiate their campaigns. In addition to standard analysis, I study competitor landing pages and calls to action to understand what resonates with the market. Insights gleaned from this competitive audit will generate new strategies to deploy in the campaign that can adjust offers, articulate new messaging, or shift budgets toward higher return opportunities.

PPC Conversion Rate Optimization

PPC funnel and landing page optimization ensure that every ad click leads to a high-converting experience, maximizing return on ad spend. Here, a good PPC consultant evaluates the entire customer journey—from the moment a user sees an ad to the final conversion—to identify bottlenecks that may be causing drop-offs. This involves analyzing landing page design, messaging, loading speed, mobile responsiveness, and call-to-action clarity to improve user engagement and conversion rates. Typically, the consultant maps out a structured PPC funnel, tailoring ad messaging and targeting based on audience intent. This includes defining retargeting strategies to nurture abandoned visitors, adjusting ad creatives for different stages of the buying cycle, and ensuring ad relevance matches the landing page experience.

Budget Allocation & Bidding Advice

If you have a specific goal in mind, for example, generating 1000 leads in six months, a PPC consultant will create a budget that will enable the business to achieve this goal. They will also determine if manual or automated bidding is the most effective strategy for this particular case. The consultant may suggest an automated strategy (e.g. Target CPA, Target ROAS, or Maximize Conversions) depending on campaign metrics. Additionally, consultants can suggest portfolio bidding strategies that automatically distribute the overall budget across campaigns in the best possible manner.

PPC Workshops

PPC workshops are tailored to strengthen the capabilities of in-house marketing teams to learn how to better manage and optimize their very own PPC campaigns. As a PPC consultant, I adapt training sessions to the team’s skills, providing beginner and advanced workshops adjusted by the level of the team about the concrete means of advertising. Most beginner sessions will go over the basics of PPC management: campaign setup, keyword research, bidding strategies, ad creative, and performance tracking are generally the focus. They do serve as a good source of information for the right decision-making between the C-level management. For more advanced teams, training can delve into automation tools, like Google Ads scripting or smart bidding strategies.

PPC Attribution & Tracking Setup

PPC attribution and tracking setup confirm that businesses are determining the effectiveness of their ad campaigns correctly based on reliable tracking and attribution data. Consultants implement and configure tools, such as GA4, GTM, and other third-party attribution tracking solutions. The consultant also works on figuring out things like attribution issues, meaning inconsistencies between the ad platforms and the reports from analytics tools for the same business, as well as cross-device and cross-channel tracking issues. That sometimes means creating multi-touch attribution models to provide a more complete view of how different touchpoints lead to conversions. In more complex setups, the consultant may also help set up offline conversion tracking for businesses that close sales over the phone or in offline locations, getting complete visibility of the sales funnel.

PPC Automation

A PPC consultant suggests and implements various types of automated bidding strategies for the business, like Google Ads Smart Bidding which uses machine learning to improve conversions or even ROAS with your bids. These tools allow companies to dynamically optimize campaigns based on user behavior, device type, and likelihood of conversion, without human intervention. Aside from automated bidding strategies, consultants implement Google Ads scripts that are also effective for automating repetitive tasks like pausing underperforming ads, adjusting bids based on factors such as device, location, time of day, or managing budgets at certain performance thresholds. The reason is, for example, the consultant might recommend to the client that he use some third-party AI-based PPC management platforms like WordStream, and Adstage that provide advanced analytics and automation features to deal with multiple ad accounts on different platforms.

My career in PPC Consulting

Interested in hiring an independent PPC consultant who generates results and is not motivated by your budget levels? I have more than 18 years of experience focusing on maximizing paid search campaigns for more conversions at lower costs. My journey on PPC began in 2006, with a US-based software company, Parallels. Back in that day Google Ads were tough, no automation tools, no smart bidding, lack of granular targeting, and a steep learning curve. Still, this company has spent hundreds of thousands of US dollars on Google Ads every year with a very good return on investment.

Shortly after quitting Parallels, in 2009, I went on to establish one of the first Google-certified web analytics agencies in the CIS region. As an independent web analytics agency, we've audited PPC campaigns of the biggest national advertisers in the region. After the agency was acquired by the biggest national PPC agency iConText Group I continued enhancing their strategies for SMBs in a joint company. iConText Group has a 300+ headcount and holds a combined PPC client billing which exceeds 130 Mn USD.

I have been freelancing on PPC campaigns for businesses in all sectors across the globe after the merger in 2016 when I left. This way, I have a full pack of Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and other relevant certifications that will help me make profits in your campaigns and optimize them for success.

PPC Consulting vs PPC Execution

PPC consulting and PPC execution (campaign creation and management) serve different purposes.

PPC consulting focuses on providing strategic advice, insights, and guidance for businesses looking to develop their PPC strategy or optimize campaigns. Consultants can compare the most effective tactics, devise a tailored paid search strategy, and prevent costly PPC experiments by implementing the right approaches from the outset, based on their own experience. PPC consultants offer expert guidance, but the key work of  adopting and managing campaigns on the ongoing basis rests with in-house teams or their external agencies.

Where PPC execution comes into play is actually hands-on management of your campaigns and ad accounts — setting up ads, adjusting bids, running A/B tests, etc. Execution involves constant monitoring and adjustments to ensure it goes as planned.

Bottom line, PPC consulting lays out strategy, execution is putting it into practice and optimizing in real-time. Both are vital to PPC success, but they have drastically different skills, experience and responsibilities.

Do You Offer Pay-Per-Result or Performance-Based Pricing?

While performance-based pricing is common in execution, it's not often applicable to consulting services. As a consultant, I provide expert guidance and strategic advice, but the execution and results depend on how recommendations are implemented. Since I don’t control the execution, performance-based pricing isn’t feasible. However, there’s no long-term commitment or lock-in during my consulting services. If you’re not satisfied or see no value, you can end the engagement at any time.

Benefits of Independent PPC Consulting

  • Unbiased, Personalized Advice: Get insights and strategies customized for your business with zero bias.
  • Flexible, Customized Strategies: Forget one-size-fits-all, agency-like strategies — I build individual solutions personalized for each client.
  • Strategic Independence: My advice is in your best interest alone, free from the influence of any external vendors or your budget tiers.

Why Hire an Independent PPC Consultant Instead of an Agency?

Unlike an agency, working with a dedicated PPC consultant provides a more personal and adaptable approach. As an independent consultant, I offer direct and customized support tailored to your specific business needs, in contrast to the larger teams and more rigid approaches of agencies. On top of that, agencies may have a financial interest in increasing your budgets, while I work with all budget sizes equally and have no motivation to run campaigns myself. Here is what you can expect when working with me:

  • Extensive Experience: I have over 18 years of diverse industry experience across the world, meaning I am always updated on the latest trends and ways to optimize your PPC campaigns for the highest returns.
  • Direct Communication: No middle men, no account managers, or anyone you have to pass all of the requests through and wait to hear back from. I am the person who is making it happen for you, and that means a fast, responsive way to get questions answered and changes made without the long wait time for most agency channels.
  • Tailored Strategies: I take the time to understand your business and industry, developing tailored PPC strategies that align with your specific needs.
  • Up-to-Date Knowledge: With access to PPC technologies, trends, and platform changes, I keep your campaigns on the cutting edge of performance optimization.
  • Cost-Efficiency: As there are no overheads involved in operating with me, I can provide you cost-effective services with the ability to build pay-per-result programs that suit your budget and requirements.

FAQ FOR MY PPC CONSULTING SERVICES

What is the average price of PPC consulting?

Consultants normally charge either by the hour, or a lump sum for a certain package of services. The average monthly service cost you can expect to range from $450 to $3,000 depending on ad accounts size and goals. I charge a rate of $150 an hour for PPC consulting.

How do I choose a PPC consultant?

When choosing a PPC consultant, consider factors such as their experience, expertise in your industry, and past campaign successes. Look for consultants who have all necessary certifications and a proven track record of improving campaign performance. It's important to assess whether the consultant offers a personalized approach and ensures decent communication skills. Be sure to ask for case studies or references to ensure their services align with your business goals.

How long does it take to see results from PPC consulting services?

With PPC consulting services, results can be quick: optimizing ad copy, eliminating wasted ad spend, or restricting how bids are placed can yield results in 1-2 weeks. Larger-scale improvements, like better conversion rates and lower cost per acquisition, generally occur over the course of 12-16 weeks, while new strategies are field-tested and tweaked. Scaling and optimizing performance for months depends on budget, competition, market conditions, etc..

What is better: ad hoc or monthly consulting?

If you require occasional assistance or guidance on specific campaigns or PPC issues, ad hoc consulting is an excellent option. This option is perfect for businesses simply looking for occasional strategic guidance or single reviews of their PPC activity. Ad hoc consulting allows you to pay for advice as needed, without any long-term commitment. Monthly consulting is better suited for businesses looking for ongoing, consistent support. With this model, you get regular check-ins with your in-house team or agency, continuous optimization process, and a deeper partnership to ensure long-term success. If you're unsure which option is best for you, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss which model fits your business and goals. We can always start with ad hoc and later on move to ongoing support.
